Free and Solo plans: research coverage
The free plan is built for occasional reference work: verifying the article number of a statute, checking whether a BGE decision has been followed, or confirming the wording of a code provision in another official language. Solo adds the full unpublished BGer database and cantonal precedent for practitioners who need comprehensive search.

Firm plan: team research
The Firm plan adds a shared workspace where multiple practitioners in the same firm can save, annotate, and share citation trails. Research done by a junior associate is visible to the supervising partner. Annotations are attributed to the individual user and preserved in query history.

Pricing questions.
No. The free plan requires only an email address to register. No payment information is collected at signup. If you later upgrade to a paid plan, you add a payment method at that point.
Each distinct research question submitted to Silex counts as one query. Viewing the full citation trail for a result, following source links, or re-opening a saved query does not count as a new query. The 10-query monthly limit resets on the calendar month.
Both Solo and Firm are available with a 14-day trial. Your card is not charged until the trial period ends. You can cancel at any time during the trial with no charge.
Listed prices exclude Swiss VAT. VAT is charged at the applicable Swiss rate and is shown separately at checkout. Swiss-registered businesses with a valid UID number may provide it during billing setup for B2B invoicing.
Your previous query history and saved citation trails are retained for 90 days after a downgrade or cancellation. You can export your history as PDF before or during that window. After 90 days, research data associated with the paid plan is removed.
The standard Firm plan covers up to 5 named users. Practices with a larger research team can contact us for a custom arrangement. Pricing scales with user count and is discussed directly.
